Razer Gold PINs in the UK: Global or regional?
Walk into a UK shop or buy online and you will almost always get a Razer Gold Global PIN priced in US dollars, even though you paid in pounds. Regional PINs turn up too, usually as gifts from abroad.

Why a UK PIN shows dollars
Razer sells Global PINs in fixed dollar amounts. A UK retailer converts the price into pounds at the till, so a £40-odd purchase might be a $50 PIN. The dollar value is what counts when you reload it or sell it.
Spotting a regional PIN
Regional PINs name a country or currency on the receipt, for example “Razer Gold MY” or a value in ringgit or lira. They are often bought abroad or sent by friends overseas, and will not reload into a UK account.
If your PIN won’t reload
- Check the type and value on the receipt before trying again
- Don’t keep entering it into a mismatched account
- Keep the PIN and serial number private; an unredeemed PIN still has its full value
