A foreign Apple Gift Card in the UK: your options
A US card from a relative, a euro card bought on holiday or a code from an overseas website: they all look like Apple Gift Cards, but none of them will redeem on a UK Apple Account.

Why Apple says no
Each Apple Gift Card belongs to one national store and currency. A UK Apple Account can only accept cards issued in pounds by Apple UK.
Is switching to a US account worth it?
Changing country means using up your UK balance, ending subscriptions and adding a payment method from the new country. For one card, it is rarely worth the disruption.
Simple ways out
- Pass it to family or friends who live in the card’s country
- If it was bought very recently, ask the sender about a cancellation
- Sell it unredeemed: send the country, currency and value for a quote
Selling a foreign Apple card from the UK
We regularly see US, EU, Canadian and Australian Apple cards from UK customers. Each is quoted on its own, and you are paid via PayPal or crypto after accepting.
