paysafecard refund or sell it? A UK guide
paysafecard PINs from newsagents, petrol stations and PayPoint shops are handy for one-off payments, which is exactly why so many end up half-used or forgotten in a drawer.

Asking paysafecard for a refund
paysafecard’s support team processes refunds of remaining balances. You will usually need the PIN, the till receipt and ID, and the money is paid back by bank transfer. Check paysafecard’s current UK terms for conditions and any charges before you apply.
Selling the PIN instead
Selling can be simpler if you would rather not send ID, have several small PINs, or prefer PayPal or crypto. Send us the value of each PIN and where you bought them; you share the PINs only after accepting the quote.
The 12-month fee
Under paysafecard’s terms, a monthly maintenance fee can kick in after a year without use and nibble away at the balance. If you are not going to spend it, decide soon.
Bought it because someone told you to?
HMRC, the police and utility companies never ask for payment by paysafecard. If you were told to buy PINs and read them out, it is a scam: report it to Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040 and contact paysafecard quickly.
