How to sell a gift card without getting burned
A gift card code is the same as cash: whoever has it can spend it. These are the habits that keep your money safe, whether you sell to us or anyone else.

Rule one: the code is the last thing you share
A buyer can quote you with the brand, region and value alone. Anyone who insists on the full code or a photo of the scratched-off back before agreeing a price is asking for the one thing that lets them disappear with your money.
Red flags in a buyer
- They contacted you first, often after you posted about a card online
- They promise a rate far above what others offer
- They pressure you to act quickly or “before the offer expires”
- They want the code before telling you how and when you will be paid
- They ask you to pay a release fee or buy another card to “unlock” your payment
If someone asked you to buy gift cards
No government agency, utility, bank or legitimate business asks to be paid in gift cards. If you bought cards because someone told you to (the IRS, a tech support agent, a romance contact or a “relative in trouble”), you are likely the target of a scam. Do not share the codes.
Report it to the FTC at ReportFraud.ftc.gov and contact the card issuer straight away; some issuers can freeze unused balances. Epinswap does not buy cards connected to scams.
Keep a record
Keep the receipt, the card back or email, and screenshots of the conversation where the price and payout were agreed. With Epinswap the quote is always in writing in your WhatsApp or Telegram chat, which is your record.
01Is it safe to sell gift cards online?
It can be, if you agree the price and payout in writing before sharing the code and you deal with a service you can contact again. Be wary of strangers who message you first.
02Can a gift card sale be reversed?
Once a code is redeemed, the balance usually cannot be recovered. That is why the order matters: agree, then share.
